Ana Filipa da Franca
Lawyer
Ana Filipa da Franca was born in Coimbra in 1964, but lives in Lisbon since childhood. She graduated from Law School of Lisbon (Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa) in 1987 and works mainly in the areas of construction, real estate, public works concession, corporate and labour. She has been a freelance lawyer for the past 11 years and between 1992 and 2010 she worked as in‑house lawyer for public works and civil construction companies, namely Somague, Edifer and Zagope, with activity in Portugal and abroad. She lectured numerous seminars and workshops in construction and public contracts law. Before 1992 she worked as in‑house lawyer for Impormol, a metallurgy company.
She is presently also a PhD student in Heritage Studies at College of Humanities of Oporto (Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto) and completed a Master’s degree in History of Art, Heritage and Visual Culture in 2017 at the same College, a Curatorial Studies specialization in 2009 at College of Fine Arts of Lisbon (Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (History of Art and Heritage) in 2006 at College of Humanities of Lisbon (Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa).
Portuguese being her mother language, she is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
