Sofia Rodrigues has a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, a Master’s degree in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and Advanced Studies (3rd cycle) in Engineering and Industrial Management at the same institution.

She has been working for several years in the consultancy industry, where she has been focused on the development of business plans and investment projects and on providing individualized advice to entrepreneurs in the areas of strategy and management. She is currently CFO at BZK – Business Kick Off.

She has also played an important role in promoting entrepreneurship, namely training entrepreneurs and helping them to set up new businesses. It is important to emphasize the work she has done at ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, designing and coordinating innovative sectoral entrepreneurship products, and monitoring female entrepreneurship projects.

From 2018 to 2022, she took part in the “Grupo de Reflexão Sobre o Futuro de Portugal”, where the major trends of globalization with direct and indirect impacts on Portugal were debated. These regular meetings with the Portuguese President focused on the future of the country, particularly the main dynamics of technological globalization, the impacts of climate change, the renewal of democracies, the challenges of demography, territorial cohesion, the scarcity of natural resources and the civic participation of young people.
